Cooking Instructions | Add 2 Cups Sunset Soup to 2 Cups boiling water. Cover, bring to a boil for 2 minutes. Remove from heat, leave covered and soak for 1 hour. Drain and add 4 cups of fresh water or broth and bring to a boil. Cover and reduce heat to low and simmer for approx. 2 hours until the beans are tender but firm. Uncover, increase heat medium and boil gently for about 45-60 minutes, stirring every 15 minutes. Remove from heat, drain well and serve. |

This soup is a mixture of beans and legumes that are ready at different time. You can cook for hours and most of the beans, legumes and grains are done while some of the beans are still hard. Yes, I pre soaked. Anyway, flavor (depending on your seasoning and add in ) is great. Seems like it should be a mix of things that cook at the same time though.
